U.S. Stock Market Rebounds: Historic Gains for 2025

Wall Street ended the week with a remarkable rally, marking its best performance since January. The S&P 500 rose by 4.59%, while the Dow Jones and Nasdaq also posted significant gains, boosting investor confidence ahead of a week full of key economic announcements.

The market is closely watching upcoming earnings reports from major tech companies such as Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta, as well as economic indicators like the April jobs reportPCE inflation data, and first-quarter GDP results.

The recent market rebound follows a period of intense volatility, triggered by the Trump administration’s trade policies—particularly after the announcement of the “Liberation Day” tariffs on April 2. These tariffs, which included additional taxes on imports from various countries, led to sharp declines in stock indices and raised fears of a potential recession.

However, the temporary suspension of tariff hikes on April 9 helped drive the market’s recovery, with major indices experiencing their largest single-day gains in years.

As investors brace for the upcoming economic releases, the market remains sensitive to new developments, with attention focused on Federal Reserve decisions and the trade policies of the U.S. government.
